Rheumatology Infusion Center

The Infusion Center is a major focus of our practice. An increasing number of therapies in modern rheumatology are infusion therapies that require monitoring that in part are up to 6 hours long. In order to spare the patient a 2- to 3-day hospital stay, our Infusion Center offers a comfortable, and a professional alternative that is close to home. We perform all approved rheumatological infusion therapies, including those using rituximab, belimumab and cyclophosphamide.  The Infusion Center equipped according to modern medical standards, and at the same time, it is particularly important to us to create a comfortable and trusting atmosphere for our patients.

Check the indication for infusion therapy, education about the effects, side effects and the procedure for infusion therapy, appointment of the first 3 scheduled infusions, a medical interview prior to each infusion, physical examination and blood sampling to rule out contraindications, during infusion continuous monitoring, after each infusion monitoring period of 30 to 60 minutes, patient discharged to return home the same day, doctor's report to referring physicians

Let us know about possible infections or other contraindications on the day before the scheduled infusion. Take along something to read and maybe something to eat/drink. You can choose movies/DVDs from the practice's DVD library, or bring your own movies and watch it/them during the infusion.
